Well, as if my week wasn't busy enough. ;) My dear friend Stacie Rose is releasing her new record, "Stars, Stripes and Milestones" (with a co-write from yours truly!), this Wednesday at Mercury Lounge. Last-minute, she asked me to open the show!!! I am so excited for my FIRST ever solo show at Merc!! It's nice & early, a 7pm show (Stacie is on at 8). It's a fabulous opportunity for us to showcase for the Bowery Presents folks...if we do well, it could lead to GREAT things!! Help us get to the next level and if you're in town, COME TO THIS SHOW! 7pm, Weds Nov 27, 217 E Houston St (at Essex), New York, NY. $10 at door.
Then on Sunday, I'm honored to be part of an EPIC Queen tribute show in honor of World AIDS Day. Freddie Mercury was an amazing man and his music has influenced me greatly, and I'm proud to join this great bill, featuring members of Blue Oyster Cult, Alice Cooper Group, Love Crushed Velvet, and my main man, Craig Greenberg! All proceeds go to support the International Aids Vaccine Initiative, a worthy organization. Even if you cannot attend, please visit their website and consider them in your donations this holiday season: http://www.iavi.org/. 8pm start (I'm on around 930-10ish), Sunday, Dec 1, at St. Vitus, 1120 Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn, New York.
And don't forget that tonight (Tues the 26) I am playing at our annual Tribute to "The Last Waltz", playing guitar, mandolin, and singing a few of my favorite Band tunes with my best NYC musician pals, all to benefit ongoing Sandy relief in conjunction with the Leave a Lasting Mark Concert Series. At the Bitter End, 147 Bleecker St, New York, NY, 7pm-9pm. Rawk!!!
Be good y'all, and have a fantastic holiday!!!
